Terms of Service

Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and RM Life LLC. By creating an account, tapping to accept, buying a subscription, or using RM Life, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use RM Life.

If you use RM Life for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. In that case, you and your include the organization.

Who we are and definitions

RM Life is operated by RM Life LLC, 7533 S Center View Ct, Ste R, West Jordan, UT 84084, USA. You can contact us at support@rmlife.app or by phone at +1 801-508-4504. RM Life is an independent company and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

RM Life. RM Life, the app, and the service mean the RM Life mobile application, rmlife.app, and related services that link to these terms.

RM Life Parties. RM Life Parties means RM Life LLC and its current and former members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, service providers, successors, and assigns.

Content. Content means text, goals, notes, events, profile information, measurements, activity, location, calendar information, feedback, and other material submitted to, generated through, or displayed by RM Life.

Eligibility

RM Life is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use RM Life where you live. Anyone under 18 may not create or use an account, and we do not knowingly allow it.

You confirm your age when you create your account. If we learn that an account holder is under 18, we may suspend or close the account and delete the information held under it.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for protecting your account, device, and sign-in methods and for activity under your account. Do not share access or let another person impersonate you. Contact support@rmlife.app promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may require email verification, age confirmation, device integrity checks, or other reasonable steps to protect RM Life and its users. You may not create an account after we have suspended or terminated you unless we give written permission.

License to use RM Life

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use RM Life on a device you own or control for personal, non-commercial use. On Apple devices, the license is limited to Apple-branded products you own or control and is subject to the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including applicable Family Sharing rules. We reserve every right not expressly granted.

Restrictions

You may not, and may not help another person to:

• copy, modify, translate, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or create derivative works from RM Life except as law expressly permits;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, discover source code, bypass technical limits, or interfere with security except as law expressly permits;
• scrape, crawl, index, data mine, use bots, or access RM Life through an unauthorized automated method;
• use RM Life, its output, or other users' Content to develop, train, evaluate, or improve an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model without our prior written permission and every permission required from affected users;
• benchmark RM Life for a competing product, copy its non-public features, or use the service to build or support a competing service;
• remove ownership notices, misuse our trademarks, or imply sponsorship or endorsement;
• probe, overload, disrupt, introduce malicious code into, or gain unauthorized access to RM Life or another person's account or data; or
• use RM Life in violation of export controls, sanctions, law, or another person's rights.

Subscriptions, trial, billing, and cancellation

RM Life may offer free and paid features. Current plan details and prices appear before purchase. Taxes may apply. App stores and their payment providers process purchases, and their payment and refund terms also apply.

Free trial. RM Life currently offers a 30-day free trial that does not require a payment method and does not automatically become a paid subscription. When it ends, paid features stop unless you subscribe. We may change or end future trial offers, but doing so will not create a charge without your purchase through the app store.

Automatic renewal. A paid subscription renews automatically for the period shown at purchase unless you cancel before renewal. The app store charges the payment method in your store account.

Cancellation. Deleting the app or your RM Life account does not necessarily cancel an app-store subscription. Cancel through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. RM Life may request cancellation on your behalf where the store supports it, but you remain responsible for confirming cancellation with the store. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Where we control the notice, we will give at least 30 days' advance notice before a higher price applies to a renewal. The app store may require you to accept the new price. If you do not agree, cancel before it applies.

Refunds. Except where law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide credits for partial periods. Ask the app store that processed the purchase for any refund. Nothing here limits refund or cancellation rights that cannot be waived.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how RM Life collects, uses, discloses, retains, and deletes information. It also explains location, Android app usage, Google Calendar data, analytics, account deletion, and privacy choices. Review it before using RM Life. The Privacy Policy is a notice about our data practices and is not intended to waive any right or remedy provided by law.

Acceptable use

Do not use RM Life to:

• break the law, encourage illegal conduct, or infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• harass, threaten, stalk, track, coerce, exploit, intimidate, or endanger anyone;
• post or share material that is abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative, deceptive, or that sexualizes or endangers a minor;
• impersonate another person, create a false identity, or misrepresent your affiliation;
• collect, expose, or use another person's location, calendar, activity, measurements, contact information, or other data without permission;
• send spam, scams, malware, or unwanted commercial messages;
• make a false report or interfere with a safety, abuse, or security review; or
• use another person's location or activity information to monitor, control, retaliate against, or pressure them.

We may investigate suspected violations and remove Content, limit features, preserve evidence, suspend accounts, or terminate access. We do not promise to monitor all Content or conduct.

Your Content and permission to operate the service

As between you and RM Life, you keep ownership of Content you create. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit and share it and that doing so does not violate law or another person's rights.

You grant the RM Life Parties a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical formatting, transmit, display, and otherwise use your Content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and improve RM Life, follow your sharing choices, comply with law, and enforce these terms. This license lets us use service providers for those purposes. It does not transfer ownership to us.

The license ends when the Content is deleted from active systems, except to the extent the Content was shared with others and remains in a shared team or user-owned record, must be preserved for safety, security, legal, or dispute purposes, or remains temporarily in backups. The Privacy Policy describes deletion in more detail.

Feedback

If you voluntarily send an idea, suggestion, bug report, or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, modify, commercialize, and share it for any purpose without payment, credit, confidentiality, or other obligation. Do not send feedback you are not authorized to provide.

Friends, teams, sharing, and other users

RM Life can let users find profiles, add friends, share selected goals, calendars, activity, availability, or location, participate in team goals, and send calendar proposals. We do not verify every user's identity or screen users before they can interact with you.

You control many sharing choices, but a recipient can copy, remember, screenshot, or misuse information after receiving it. Team records and shared history can remain available to the team after a member leaves or deletes an account. Use care, share only with people you trust, and do not share another person's information without permission.

Blocking, reporting, and moderation

You can block another user from that user's profile. Blocking removes the friendship, stops new friend requests and calendar proposals, stops goal, calendar, and location sharing between the two accounts, and limits how the accounts appear to each other in search and activity features.

You can report another user from the user's profile or email support@rmlife.app. Include enough detail for us to review. We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account; remove Content; preserve information; or refer a matter to authorities where appropriate. We will review reports as reasonably practicable, but we do not guarantee a result or response time.

RM Life filters usernames for some objectionable terms. Other Content, including goal names, is not necessarily screened before it appears. Automated filters can miss harmful material or block harmless material. Report conduct or Content that violates these terms.

Location, app-usage accuracy, and assumption of risk

Location and Android app-usage features are optional. Core planning and goal features remain available when those device permissions are denied, although related place, map, screen-time, and comparison features will not work.

Estimates only. Location, place detection, geofences, phone usage, travel, time, and derived comparisons can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or wrong because they depend on devices, operating systems, permissions, signals, third-party services, and user settings. Do not treat RM Life as a precise or authoritative record.

Not an emergency or safety service. RM Life is not a navigation, emergency, roadside, rescue, monitoring, law-enforcement, medical, or personal-safety service. It does not contact emergency services. Do not rely on it to prevent harm or locate a person, and never use it while driving or during an activity that requires attention.

Sharing location. If you enable location sharing, another person can use the information to find you in the physical world. Verify the person outside the app, review sharing choices, and turn sharing off if you no longer want it. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services or authorities.

You knowingly assume the ordinary risks of choosing goals, using estimates, sharing information, interacting with other users, and meeting people. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the RM Life Parties from claims arising from another user's conduct or your voluntary sharing choices, except to the extent a claim results from an RM Life Party's gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or a responsibility that law does not allow us to exclude.

Health, fitness, and wellbeing

RM Life is a planning and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, fitness, nutritional, psychological, pastoral, financial, or legal advice. Content and calculations are informational only and are not diagnosis, treatment, professional advice, or a substitute for a qualified professional.

You are responsible for goals and activities you choose. Consult an appropriate professional before changing exercise, sleep, fasting, nutrition, health, or treatment routines, especially if you have a condition or concern. Stop an activity if you feel unwell. In a crisis or emergency, contact an appropriate professional or emergency service, not RM Life.

Third-party services

RM Life relies on services and platforms we do not control, including Google Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Calendar, mapping services, Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, Expo, Resend, Formspree, and Cloudflare. Their terms and privacy policies may apply to your use. A third party can change, limit, suspend, or discontinue its service, which may cause an RM Life feature to stop working.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the RM Life Parties are not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, acts, omissions, security, or data practices. You must comply with applicable third-party terms, including wireless-data and app-store terms.

Google services

If you connect a Google account or Google Calendar, you authorize RM Life to access and act on Google data within the permissions you grant and the instructions you give. You are responsible for reviewing the Google authorization screen and for calendar changes you direct RM Life to make. You can disconnect the integration and revoke access in your Google Account.

RM Life's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs is governed by the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The Privacy Policy explains what Google data RM Life accesses and how it is used, stored, shared, and deleted.

Beta, preview, and experimental features

A feature labeled beta, preview, demo, early access, experimental, or similar is provided for testing. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or changed or removed without notice and may lose data. Do not depend on it for important decisions or records.

Changes to RM Life

We may add, change, limit, or remove features and may suspend or discontinue RM Life. Where a change materially reduces a paid service, we will provide reasonable advance notice when practical, unless urgent action is needed for security, abuse prevention, law, or a third-party service change. If the service is discontinued, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to use the available export tool when practical. An export may not include every operational, security, provider, report, or shared record.

RM Life intellectual property

RM Life, including its software, design, name, logo, text, graphics, and other material other than user Content, is owned by RM Life LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property and other laws. No right to use RM Life trademarks, branding, or proprietary material is granted except the limited app license above.

Copyright and other intellectual-property complaints

If you believe Content on RM Life infringes a copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right, email support@rmlife.app with the subject IP claim. Include your contact details, the protected work or right, the location of the challenged material, why you believe the use is unauthorized, a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature. For a copyright notice, include the good-faith and penalty-of-perjury statements required by applicable law.

We may remove or restrict challenged material and may terminate repeat infringers. If we remove your Content and you believe the decision was a mistake, contact the same address with the facts and any legally required counter-notice information. This contact information is not a representation that RM Life has registered a designated agent with the US Copyright Office.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using RM Life at any time and may request account deletion in Settings. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate, as explained above.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access; remove Content; or preserve information if we reasonably believe you violated these terms, created risk or possible legal exposure, failed to pay, misused a third-party service, or if action is needed to protect a user, RM Life, or another person. We may act without advance notice when notice would create risk, interfere with an investigation, or be impractical. Where reasonable, we will explain the action and provide a way to contact us.

When access ends, the license ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including provisions about Content already shared, Feedback, ownership, payments owed, disclaimers, releases, limitations, indemnity, claim deadlines, disputes, and general terms.

Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RM LIFE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. THE RM LIFE PARTIES DISCLAIM EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

THE RM LIFE PARTIES DO NOT WARRANT THAT RM LIFE, CONTENT, LOCATION, APP-USAGE DATA, CALENDAR SYNCHRONIZATION, NOTIFICATIONS, EXPORTS, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, SECURE, UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT CONTENT OR DATA WILL NOT BE LOST. YOU USE RM LIFE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. The exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not affect mandatory consumer guarantees.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE RM LIFE PARTIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, OPPORTUNITY, GOODWILL, OR DATA; PERSONAL DECISIONS BASED ON ESTIMATES; ANOTHER USER'S CONDUCT; OR UNAUTHORIZED USE OF INFORMATION YOU CHOSE TO SHARE, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGE WAS POSSIBLE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE RM LIFE PARTIES FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO RM LIFE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR RM LIFE DURING THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE FIRST CLAIM OR US$50.

The exclusions and cap apply regardless of the theory of liability and even if a remedy fails its essential purpose. They do not limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, death or personal injury caused by negligence where it cannot be limited, or any liability or mandatory consumer right that law does not allow us to limit.

Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the RM Life Parties from third-party claims, demands, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from or relating to your Content; your misuse of RM Life; your interaction with another person; your location, calendar, activity, or other sharing choices; your violation of these terms, law, or another person's rights; or your fraud, willful misconduct, or negligence.

RM Life may control the defense and settlement of a covered claim using counsel of its choice. You will cooperate and may participate through your own counsel at your own expense. You may not settle a covered claim without our prior written consent. We will not settle in a way that requires you to admit fault or accept a non-monetary obligation without your consent, which will not be unreasonably withheld. This section does not require a consumer to indemnify a party for that party's own unlawful conduct where prohibited by law.

Time limit for claims

To the fullest extent permitted by law, a claim arising out of or relating to RM Life or these terms must be filed within one year after the facts giving rise to the claim occurred, or it is permanently barred. This does not shorten a limitation period that law does not allow the parties to shorten, and it does not apply to a claim based on personal injury, fraud, willful misconduct, or an intellectual-property right where law requires a different period.

Dispute resolution, arbitration, and class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully. It requires most disputes involving a US resident to be resolved through individual arbitration instead of court, waives jury trial and class proceedings, and affects your legal rights. It does not apply where applicable law prohibits it.

Informal notice first. Before starting arbitration, the claimant must send a signed written notice to support@rmlife.app and by post to RM Life LLC, 7533 S Center View Ct, Ste R, West Jordan, UT 84084, USA. The notice must include the claimant's name, account email, contact information, facts, legal basis, and requested relief. The parties will try in good faith to resolve the dispute for 60 days after a complete notice is received. A limitations period is paused during that 60-day period. A party may request an individual settlement conference.

Individual arbitration. If a dispute is not resolved, you and RM Life agree that any claim arising out of or relating to RM Life, these terms, or the parties' relationship will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this arbitration agreement. The arbitrator may award the same individual remedies a court could award and will issue a reasoned decision. Judgment on the award may be entered in a court with jurisdiction.

Location and format. A consumer hearing may take place by video, telephone, written submissions, or in the county where you live, unless the parties agree otherwise. Fees are allocated under the applicable AAA rules. RM Life will pay amounts the rules require it to pay, but the arbitrator may reallocate fees if a claim or defense was frivolous or brought for an improper purpose.

Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in a small-claims court with jurisdiction. Either party may ask a court for temporary or injunctive relief to protect intellectual property, confidential information, account security, or against unauthorized access, scraping, or abuse while arbitration is pending. Government agencies may enforce rights within their authority.

No class proceedings. Claims may be brought only in an individual capacity. The parties waive any class, collective, consolidated, private-attorney-general, or representative action and any jury trial. The arbitrator may not combine different people's claims or preside over a class or representative proceeding, except for administrative coordination under the mass-arbitration paragraph below.

Coordinated and mass filings. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed against the same party and coordinated by the same or substantially coordinated counsel, the AAA Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules and applicable fee schedule then in effect will apply. The parties will follow those rules' process, mediator, and merits procedures. Each claimant must satisfy the informal-notice requirement. This paragraph provides administrative coordination only and does not authorize class or consolidated arbitration.

Authority and severability. The arbitrator decides disputes about the interpretation, applicability, and enforceability of this arbitration agreement, except a court decides disputes about the class-action waiver. If the class-action waiver is unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim must proceed in court after all arbitrable claims are completed. If another part is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed and the rest remains effective.

Opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement and class-action waiver by emailing support@rmlife.app within 30 days after you first accept these terms. Include your name, account email, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other term or your access to RM Life.

Governing law and courts

Utah law governs these terms and disputes, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration agreement. For a dispute not subject to arbitration or small claims, the exclusive courts are the state courts located in Utah County, Utah and the United States District Court for the District of Utah, and the parties consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms removes a mandatory protection of the law where you live or a right to bring a claim in a local court where that right cannot be waived. Nothing prevents you from contacting a consumer-protection, privacy, or other government authority.

European Union and United Kingdom consumers

Mandatory consumer rights in the European Union and United Kingdom continue to apply. Digital subscriptions are sold through an app store, and the store's withdrawal and refund process may apply. Nothing in these terms asks you to waive a withdrawal right unless you separately give the express consent and acknowledgment required by applicable law.

You can report suspected illegal Content, report a user, or complain about a moderation or account decision by emailing support@rmlife.app. Include the relevant account or Content, the reason, and any supporting facts. We will review the complaint and provide information about the outcome where required by law.

Apple and Google app stores

These terms are between you and RM Life LLC, not Apple or Google. RM Life LLC, not Apple or Google, is responsible for RM Life and its Content, maintenance, support, warranties to the extent not disclaimed, and claims relating to the app, including product-liability, legal-compliance, consumer-protection, and intellectual-property claims.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the iOS app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for RM Life.

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism and are not on a US Government prohibited or restricted-party list.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce the terms against you as such a beneficiary. Except for Apple and its subsidiaries under this paragraph, these terms do not create third-party-beneficiary rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for a material change, provide notice in the app, by email, or on the website at least 30 days before it takes effect when reasonably possible. We may act sooner for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or an urgent third-party change. A change to arbitration will not apply to a dispute for which we received a complete written notice before the change took effect.

If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using RM Life and delete your account before they take effect. Continuing to use RM Life after the effective date means you accept the updated terms to the extent permitted by law. We will request separate consent where law requires it.

Notices and electronic communications

You agree that we may provide agreements, disclosures, receipts, notices, and other communications electronically through RM Life, the website, or the email address on your account. Electronic communications satisfy a legal writing requirement where permitted. Keep your email current.

Send legal notices to support@rmlife.app and by post to RM Life LLC, 7533 S Center View Ct, Ste R, West Jordan, UT 84084, USA. A notice to RM Life is effective when received. This does not change the specific notice requirements for arbitration or intellectual-property complaints.

General

Entire agreement. These terms, any purchase terms presented at checkout, and any additional terms we expressly identify are the entire agreement about RM Life and replace earlier agreements on the same subject.

No agency. These terms do not create an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, franchise, or sales-representative relationship between you and RM Life.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these terms, rights, or your account without our written consent. We may assign these terms to an affiliate or in connection with financing, a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. An unauthorized assignment is void.

Severability and reformation. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and limited or removed only as necessary. The rest remains effective, subject to the specific arbitration severability rule.

No waiver. A failure or delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. A waiver must be written and applies only to the specific instance.

Equitable relief. A breach involving intellectual property, confidential information, account security, unauthorized automation, scraping, or interference with RM Life may cause harm that money alone cannot repair. We may seek injunctive or equitable relief in addition to other remedies, subject to the arbitration section.

Force majeure. The RM Life Parties are not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside reasonable control, including natural disaster, war, civil unrest, labor dispute, epidemic, government action, utility or network failure, cyberattack, app-store action, or third-party-service failure.

Export controls. You may use and export RM Life only as authorized by United States law and the law where it was obtained.

US Government users. RM Life and related documentation are commercial computer software and commercial computer software documentation and are licensed to US Government end users only with the rights granted to other users under these terms.

Headings and language. Headings are for convenience. These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, English controls to the extent permitted by law.
