How it works

One loop: plan, live, see, adjust

Every planner records what you meant to do. RM Life records that too, then measures what actually happened, and puts the two next to each other at the end of the week. That loop is the whole product. Everything below is a part of it.

Step one

Set goals in four areas

Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual. You pick the goals; the four areas just stop you from pouring an entire week into one of them.

Three kinds of goal

Count goals for things you tally, like nine workouts this month. Timed goals for things measured in hours, like six hours of study a week. Scheduled goals for things that only happen if they are on a calendar, like calling home on Sunday.

Balance you can see

Progress builds per area, so a strong Physical month with an empty Social one looks like what it is. Most tracking apps will happily let you optimize one number into the ground.

Goals that survive a bad week

A missed day does not reset anything to zero. The week absorbs it and the next week starts from where you actually are.

Step two

Plan the week on a real calendar

A guided weekly planning session walks you through the week ahead and puts your goals onto an actual calendar, in about thirty minutes.

Your real life is already there

Two-way Google Calendar sync means classes, shifts, and meetings show up before you start planning. You are scheduling goals against a real week, not an empty grid.

Essentials first

Sleep, classes, work, and meals go down before goal time. Plans fail when they are built on the eight hours a day you were never going to have.

Every goal gets a block

A goal with no time attached to it is a wish. The planning session does not let you leave one floating.

Step three

The week measures itself

This is the part other planners skip. Between one planning session and the next, RM Life is quietly collecting what actually happened, so the review has something real to show you.

Events you completed

Check off a planned block with one tap. What you did not check off is data too, and it is not treated as a moral failure.

Places you went

Save the gym, campus, or the temple and visits log themselves. Optional, off until you turn it on, and the app works with every location permission denied.

Where the hours went

Hours by area across the week. Not a productivity score, not a streak to protect. Just the shape of your 168 hours.

Step four

See planned next to actual, then adjust

At the end of the week, the plan and the week sit side by side. Most people are wrong about their own week in a specific, repeatable direction, and one honest look at it is worth more than another month of guessing.

The gap, named

You planned five hours of study and got three. You planned one social block and got none, three weeks running. That pattern is the useful part.

Then it plans the next week with you

The review feeds straight into the next planning session, so what you learned from the week behind you changes what you schedule for the week ahead. That is the loop closing.

Honest limits

What it does not do

It does not nag you, score you, or rank you against strangers. It has no streaks to break and no badges to collect. It will not read your journal or write your prayers. And it is in development, so none of this is on your phone yet.
